Two Girls from Ireland were nominated to take part in these awards, Rebecca Flynn from the Peelo School of Dance was nominated for her Advanced Two Ballet Exam and Amy O’Shea from the Paula Kearns School of Dance was nominated for her Grade Six Ballet Exam. Both Girls got on extremely well in their categories. The Competition was very tough but both Rebecca and Amy held their own. Last November we had our annual Technical course. Ms Vanessa Hooper, chairperson of the IDTA Ballet committee came to Ireland to introduce the new Intermediate Ballet Syllabus. The new syllabus is fantastic and I’m sure all our IDTA teachers will enjoy teaching this to their students. Ms Vanessa Hooper also presented Rebecca Flynn and Amy with vouchers on behalf of the All Ireland Theatre committee for their scholarship nominations.

Kim Stanley
